Get Miley Cyrus’ Met Ball Look For €3!!
Okay, so its the weekend, the Met Ball was on Monday night but we’re not over it yet... Our social media is still full of pics of our favorite stars on the night, everyones picked their top 5 and theres loads of get the look inspired posts out there, so I thought I’d do one myself.
I’ve been going through my top 5 well top 6 really, Miley Cyrus, Rooney Mara, Anne Hathaway, Sarah Jessica Parker, Nicole Richie and Cara Delevigne and Miley Cyrus’ definately stood out, not just because her beautiful Marc Jacobs fishnet gown and electrified hair was decidedly more punk than the others but because it brought me back to the stylings of my 16 year old self... I had a little touch of a raver in me in those days and i had a particular pair of neon pink fishnet tights that i used wear as sleeves under my favorite black tee-shirt. So it got me to thinking, the short version of Miley’s Marc Jacobs dress retails for $4,800 thats roughly €3,700, but what if we could ‘get her look’ for €3!! Well all it takes is a pair of fishnet tights and a pair of scissors and you can style it with what ever you like!
So heres your simple easy how to guide. Get yourself a pair of large holed fishnet tights, I got mine in Penneys years ago for €3 (they were still in the packet) you might not get them as cheap and it might take a bit of searching but it will be worth it... When you’ve got your tights you’ll notice that where the crotch is several of the holes will meet at one point, just snip them apart, this should leave a hole big enough for your head to go through, if not snip one or two more sections just keep it symmetrical for a neat neckline. As for the feet you can choose to leave them intact as i have done and put your fingers through the holes or you can snip them off leaving you with ordinary open sleeves.There you have it, your very own fishnet crop top, so your hitting two trends at once! If the fishnet crop top is too daring for you why not wear it under your favorite tee to punk it up with some fishnet sleeves just like i did when i was 16!
