Christopher Emmanuel "Chris" Paul (born May 6, 1985) is the American professional basketball player for the L . A . Clippers on the National Basketball Association (NBA). Standing around 6 ft 0 in (1.83 m) and weighing 175 lb (79 kg), he's got started exclusively on the position of point guard. Paul has won the NBA Rookie of the Year Medal, an Olympic gold medal, and led the National basketball association for assists 3 times and steals six times. He's got also been selected to 7 NBA All-Star teams, six All-NBA teams, and 6 All-Defensive teams.

Paul has been a McDonald's All-American in high school. He joined Wake Forest University for 2 years of university basketball where he assisted the Demon Deacons achieve their initial ever number one standing. He has been selected 4th all round in your 2005 NBA draft with the New Orleans Hornets and traded with the Clippers in 2011.

On December 8, 2011, the Hornets agreed to a three-team trade transferring Paul to the Los Angeles Lakers. The NBA, that owned the team at the time, nullified the deal, along with commissioner David Stern claiming New Orleans would be better off keeping Paul.The clubs involved in the trade tried out to lobby the league to change its ruling and reconstruct the offer does not help.On December 12, the Hornets accepted a trade sending Paul to the Los Angeles Clippers, but the deal broke down after the NBA added additional needs for the original conditions. Two days later, the teams at long last made the trade, sending Paul and 2 future 2nd round draft picks in the Clippers for Eric Gordon, Chris Kaman, Al-Farouq Aminu, and the Minnesota Timberwolves' unprotected first round pick in the 2012 draft. Upon the deal's conclusion, Paul announced which he could opt in the final season of his contract and remain in Los Angeles for at least 2 more years.
